Beatrice was born in South West France, where she spent most of her childhood. In 2003 the family moved to Catalonia and in 2005 back to Britain. Her mother, Catherine Forshall, is a painter.
Beatrice says “Making pictures has been part of my life ever since I can remember, my father with a camera, my mother outside and inside with paintbrush and canvas”.
Beatrice received a first class honours degree in illustration from Falmouth University. Ever since she was a child, she has been interested in wildlife and her work mainly revolves around animals and conservation. She finds the natural world an infinite source of inspiration.
Recently, Beatrice took part in the new “Ghosts of Gone Birds” exhibition in Brighton. In May 2015 she had a solo exhibition at Potterton Books in London.
Beatrice Forshall lives and works in London.
